

NEW YORK, August 9, 2005 — Further ramping up operations, Picturehouse has solidified its marketing team by combining both Newmarket Films and Fine Line Features staff, it was announced today by Picturehouse President Bob Berney.
As previously announced, Marian Koltai-Levine and Dennis O’Connor will be Executive Vice Presidents of Marketing. Additionally, Nina Baron will serve as Senior Vice President National Publicity while Jennifer Stott will serve as Senior Vice President Publicity and Promotions. Mary Ann Hult has been elevated to Vice President National Publicity, Molly Albright has joined as Vice President of Creative Advertising and Veronica Bufalini will relocate to Los Angeles where she will serve as Director of West Coast Publicity. Rounding out the team are Courtney Tauber and Elizabeth Brambilla, both Managers of Field Operations and Promotions, and Stefan Zorich, Manager of Creative Services.
“We could not be more pleased about how the team is shaping up,” said Berney. “It is a true merging of talent and we look forward to becoming one happy family.”
Koltai-Levine comes to Picturehouse from Fine Line Features where she was Executive Vice President of Marketing. During her time there she was responsible for heading up aggressive and innovative marketing campaigns for all of Fine Line Features releases which have included such Oscar-nominated films as Maria Full of Grace, American Splendor, Vera Drake, The Sea Inside and Before Night Falls; to name just a few. Prior to Fine Line, Koltai-Levine was an account executive at PMK Pubic Relations.
O’Connor joins Picturehouse from HBO Films where he was Head of Theatrical Releasing. He joined the company in 2003 when it expanded into the theatrical marketplace. During his time there he oversaw all release campaigns including the Oscar-nominated films Maria Full of Grace and American Splendor as well as Gus Van Sant’s Palm d’ Or winner Elephant. Prior to HBO, O’Connor headed up marketing for United Artists where he oversaw marketing campaigns for Bowling For Columbine, No Man’s Land, 24 Hour Party People and Igby Goes Down.
Baron also joins the Picturehouse team from Fine Line where she worked directly with Koltai-Levine on the above campaigns. She joined the Fine Line team in 1996, working on campaigns for such films as Shine, The Sweet Hereafter and Deconstructing Harry. Prior to Fine Line, Baron held positions at Universal, MGM/UA and Warner Bros, among others.
Another Fine Line veteran, Stott joined Fine Line in 1996 and has been instrumental to each films success in the field. A native of Australia, Stott began her career at VOGUE Australia and the Australian Film Commission before moving to the States in 1992 to become Director of Marketing at Women Make Movies.
Hult comes to Picturehouse from Newmarket Films where she was Director of Publicity. During her time there she oversaw campaigns for such films as The Woodsman and Downfall. Prior to this she was Vice President of National Publicity at United Artists where she developed and executed campaigns for such award-winning films as Personal Velocity, Bowling for Columbine and Osama.
Albright joins the team from Newmarket Films where she was Director of Marketing and Post Production. During her time there she helped create and produce theatrical marketing campaigns for all of Newmarket’s Films including Whale Rider, Monster, The Passion of the Christ and The Woodsman.
Bufalini joins the West Cost Picturehouse team from New York-based Fine Line where she served as Director of Publicity and Promotions. Bufalini joined New Line Cinema as a receptionist in 1999 before swiftly moving her way up into Fine Line publicity. During her time at the company she has worked on campaigns for such films as The Sea Inside, Vera Drake, Birth, Maria Full of Grace, American Splendor, The Anniversary Party and Dancer in the Dark.
Tauber, Brambilla and Zorich all come to Picturehouse from the Newmarket Films team where they have all been an instrumental part in the company’s former successes.
Picturehouse is a company that is the product of two leaders of the entertainment community – HBO and New Line Cinema. Launched in April 2005, upcoming releases include Gus Van Sant’s Last Days; Paul Reiser’s The Thing About My Folks starring Peter Falk; and Steven Shainberg’s Fur, which recently began production and stars Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr.
